Latest Crime Update 16/07/2025

Dear Residents

Please find below the crime record for the period 1st July to 16th July.

Fortunately, we’ve had very little crime in the last fortnight.  Very pleasing to see no burglaries or robberies:

  • Regarding motor vehicle crime it’s always worth looking on the “secured by design” website for approved security products to prevent your vehicle being unlocked.  If suspects do succeed in entering your vehicle there’s also a range of products for locking your steering wheel.
  • Regarding the recent theft of sheets of metal, it’s probably worth trying to delay deliveries until shortly before items are due to be installed if possible.  If they do need to be delivered a long time in advance, make sure they are stored in a place where there not visible to passers-by.+
  • On the community engagement side, I had a brief visit to the community café at St Mary’s Church last Wednesday 16/07/25.  Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to stay long as I had to get to a training session at Bromley Police Station. I hope to have a longer visit this Wednesday (23/07/25).

We’ve recently acquired some new burglary prevention leaflets.  If you’re interested in one please contact me as shown below.  I’m very happy to either come round & talk it through or deliver it for you to look at in your own time.

  • We’ll be holding a “Cuppa with a Copper” on Thursday 24/07/25 from 4pm to 5pm at Costa Coffee, Westmoreland Road.
  • Our next Ward Panel meeting is on Tuesday 29/07/25 at 7.30pm in the Friends Room at St Mary’s Church, Kingswood Road.
  • A few days later there’ll be a drop-in surgery at Shortlands Library from 10am to 11am on Saturday 02/08/25.

Look forward to seeing some of you at these events. Thanks as always for your help & support.

Kind Regards,

Adam Charles
