GUIDED WALK THROUGH SHORTLANDS’ HISTORY – 27 JUNE 26

GUIDED WALK THROUGH SHORTLANDS’ HISTORY – 27 JUNE 26

Shortlands has a lot more history and claim to fame than you would think. Pop stars like Judy Garland, world famous children’s writers like Enid Blyton, Romantic poets like Shelley, and even the head of Oliver Cromwell have stayed in or passed through Shortlands over the centuries!

Come and join us for our free guided walk, organised by Shortlands Residents’ Association, to learn more about our history from the Iron age to the present day. Starting off at 2.30pm on Saturday 27 June 2026 in Shortlands Station Ticket-hall and for the next hour or two Mike Ricketts will lead you through Shortlands’ story. And, weather permitting, there’s a chance to chill out afterwards in a shaded garden over a cup of tea and cakes.

If you would like to join us on the walk, call Mike on 0208 460 0395 or email info@shortlandsra.org.uk
