Latest Ward Crimes 1-15 April 2026

Dear Residents,

Please find below the crime record for the period from 1st April to 15th April 2026.

Very pleasing to see no burglaries over the last fortnight and after several offences during the first week of this fortnight very little crime in the second week.

Unfortunately, a teenage boy was robbed on Queen’ s Mead Recreation Ground.  Quiet sensibly he went to his older brother’s house nearby straight afterwards but didn’t report until the following day.  A real shame as he was able to give a reasonable description of the suspects.  I had a good chat with the victim yesterday and he seemed very pleased that I’d taken the time to contact him as were his parents.  Despite the circumstances it was good to have a positive engagement with a young person.

On the community engagement side our next ward panel meeting’s this Tuesday (21/04/26) at 7.30pm.  The venue is The Friends Room at St Mary’s Church.

All being well we’ll be able to drop into the St Mary’s Church Community Café next Wednesday (22/04/26).

The next Cuppa With A Copper session’s on Tuesday 27/04/26 from 10am to 11am.  This will be at Costa Coffee, Westmoreland Road.

Look forward to seeing some of you at these events.

Thanks as always for your help and support.

Kind Regards
