Local Crime Update 15/07/2022

Dear Residents

Please find below the crime record for the period from 30 June to 15th July 2022.

Good to see the overall crime rate remains low with periods of several days with nothing to report.  It’s worrying to see that catalytic convertor thieves appear to be getting nastier including criminal damage and threatening people when challenged.  Always remember that life is more important than property.  The safest option is often to retreat out of sight and call 999.  Most burglaries at the moment still seem to be bicycles being stolen from sheds.  If you would like any security advice re your shed please feel free to contact me as shown below.

On the community engagement side, I attended St Mary’s Church for post service tea & coffee on Sunday 11/07/22.  DWO PC Hartley recently took part in a community youth event which involved a combination of sport.  I held a surgery on Friday at Shortlands Library where I had some very enjoyable chats with people of various ages.

Thanks as always for your help and support.

Kind regards

Adam CHARLES | PCSO 7572PY | Albemarle House SNT Base
