Local Crime Update 21/06/2021

Dear Residents

Please find below the crime record for the period from 1st June to 21st June.

Very pleasing to see we’ve had no burglaries this month.

I’d like to say a big thank you to the motorist in Mays Hill Road who spotted suspects breaking into a vehicle and beeped their horn at them.  This caused the suspects to drive off before they’d had the chance to steal anything.  Police were called but unfortunately the suspects couldn’t be found.

A speeding operation was due to be carried out earlier this month but had to be cancelled due to an arrest enquiry for a priority wanted having to be carried out on Copers Cope Ward.  The next speeding operation is scheduled for Wednesday 14/07/21.

Once social distancing restrictions are lifted further, I hope to resume surgeries at Costa Coffee, Westmoreland Road and Shortlands Library.  I’ve just returned to work today after being off for the last 3 weeks so don’t have much more to add.  Stay vigilant and maintain the excellent social distancing I’ve seen across the ward.

Thanks as always for your help & support.

Kind Regards

Adam
