04 Jun Local Crime Update 31/05/2021
Dear Residents
Burglary still remains very low.
Now that the weather is improving, please be careful to make sure all your windows are shut before you leave home as, inevitably, we all end up opening more windows.
Also, people returning to work, think about precautions such as time switchers and having ring doorbells linked to your phones so you can answer your door when you’re at home.
Over the last two months we’ve carried out speed checks in Barnfield Wood Road, Wickham Way, Brabourne Rise & St Mary’s Avenue. The majority of drivers were driving at safe speeds and very few had to be pulled over and given words of advice.
On a happier note, we’ve been able to resume community engagement activities to some extent as restrictions ease. We’ve been able to visit schools at both the start & finish of the day & the church when working early turn on Sundays. Hopefully if things keep going the right way & restrictions are further eased there could be the possibility of restarting resident’s drop-in sessions but that’s very much up in the air at the moment.
Hope to see some of you out and about when on patrol.
Thanks as always for your help & support.
Kind Regards
Adam
