Latest Ward Crimes 16 – 31 October 2026

Dear Residents,

Please find below the crime record for the period from 16th to 31st October ‘26.

The good news is we’ve had no vehicles stolen in the last fortnight. Unfortunately, there were two burglaries in the last fortnight.  One of these occurred just as the victims were returning home, the other when the victim was out for just over an hour. If you’d like any advice re burglary prevention, please feel free to call me on mobile number 07769435340.

We had one fraud offence over the last fortnight.  Slight twist on the usual way victims are conned into handing their cards over to couriers in that, in the initial call, the victim was told there had been transactions on their TV Licence account.

On the community engagement side, our next two events will be a “Cuppa with a Copper” session on Friday 06/1126 from 10am to 11am.  The venue will be Costa Coffee on Westmoreland Road.

On Saturday 14/11/26 we’ll be holding a drop-in surgery from 3pm to 4pm.  This will be in Shortlands Library’s temporary home of the Friends Room, St Mary’s Church.

Our next ward panel meeting is on Tuesday 01/12/26 at 7.30pm, also in the Friends Room, St Mary’s Church.

Look forward to seeing you at some of these events. Thanks as always for your help & support.

Kind Regards,
