Dear Residents

Please find below the crime record for the period from 1st February to 12th February.

There’s only one crime on it which is a burglary.  It was rather unusual in that the suspect(s) climbed on to a first floor balcony and forced the door.  This has happened before on the ward but not for about two or three years.  With the very low amount of crime taking place I’ve been able to carry out some long foot patrols taking the opportunity to give crime prevention advice and visit the schools at the end of the day.

If anyone wants to pop down for a chat there are two more surgeries this month.  Details as follows-:

  • Friday 21/02/20 Shortlands Library, Shortlands Road 4pm to 5pm
  • Thursday 27/02/20 Costa Coffee, Westmoreland Road 3pm to 4pm

SHORTLANDS CRIME RECORD 01/02/20-12/02/20

Burglary:

  1. 11/02/20.  Early morning to early evening.  Suspect(s) climbed on to balcony at rear of first floor flat.  Entry gained by forcing a door.  Following an untidy search cash and jewellery stolen.
