Latest Crime Report – 15/11/2025

Dear Residents,

Please find below the crime record for the period from 2 Nov to 15 Nov 2025.

Very pleasing to see no robberies in the last fortnight.

Things were generally going well until the end of this week when we had three burglaries.  Two of these were building site burglaries and one was a residential burglary of someone whose was away & having their daughter checking their home periodically.

If you do have builders at your home, it might be worth advising them to take tools home overnight.  I spoke to the site manager at one of the sites & he said he is now only keeping a minimal amount of less expensive tools on site overnight.

Regarding having your home checked when away for a long period of time it’s probably worth having it done two or three times a week.  If you’re able to get people to do it for you daily, even better.

As always feel free to call on the numbers below if you’d like any crime prevention advice:

On the community engagement side, we’ll be holding a Cuppa With A Copper sessions tomorrow (Monday 17/11/25) from 10am to 11am & Friday 28/11/25 from 4pm to 5pm.  Both will take place at Costa Coffee, Westmoreland Road.

Yesterday (Saturday 15/11/25) I held a drop in session at the library & attended a Shortlands Residents Association Meeting.  The latter was a good lively meeting with some good points being raised.

I’m hoping to pop into the St Marys later this morning for post service tea & coffee depending on what time my previous visit finishes.

Hope to see some of you at these events. Thanks as always for your help & support.

Kind Regards
