05 Feb Local Crime Update 31/01/2022
Dear Residents
Please find below the crime record for the period from 16 Jan to 31 Jan 2022.
Worrying to see a robbery and an attempted robbery when this offence rarely happens on the ward. Remember your life is more important than your valuables. Valuables are replaceable lives are not.
I was disappointed to hear from the victim of the Kingswood Road theft from motor vehicle offence that the person who had seen it happen and alerted him had driven after the suspects in her own vehicle but not called 999. Remember and pass on to friends & family that if you see a crime take place, call 999. Even if no one is in immediate danger as a result of the crime, still call 999.
We’ve recently carried out proactive patrols following reports of possible cannabis smoking in Whitecroft Way and a block of flats in Cumberland Road. Fortunately on both occasions the informants had been mistaken but it was good to be able to engage with members of the public in the areas concerned.
Our next drop-in surgery will be at Shortlands Library, Shortlands Road on Friday 25/02/21 between 3pm & 4pm.
Thank you as always for your help and support.
