06 Jan Local Crime Update 31/12/2023
Dear Residents
Hope you’re all well. Happy New Year and I hope you had a nice Christmas.
Please find below the crime record for the period from 16 Dec to 31 Dec 2023.
No major issues to report. I’d like to say well done to Dave, Kingswood Avenue Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator and his near neighbour. Noticing a suspicious looking vehicle, it was reported on 101. It turned out the vehicle was stolen and this enabled officers to recover it. The crime won’t appear on the attachment as it took place in another area but it shows how it’s always worth contacting police through non emergency means if something looks suspicious.
On the community engagement side, I managed to attend St Mary’s Church at the Christingle Service on Christmas Eve and the Sunday morning service on New Year’s Eve. It was lovely to see so many happy excited children at the Christingle looking forward to a visit from Santa.
I also held a Cuppa With A Copper on New Year’s Eve.
Our next Cuppa With A Copper will be on Wednesday 10/01/24 from 4pm to 5pm at Costa, Westmoreland Road.
Thanks for your help and support in 2023. Look forward to the excellent relationship between police & residents continuing this year.
