27 Jul Shortlands Road closure from 31 July for Thames Water work
Thames Water will be closing Shortlands Road, Shortlands from Monday 31/07 for up to three days whilst they complete essential maintenance on their water main.
The closure will be a directional road closure affecting only Southbound traffic at the junction of Bromley Road (by Shortlands Station). This will affect all traffic turning into Shortlands Road from Bromley Road / Beckenham Lane (towards Valley Road / Hayes Lane etc). All Southbound traffic will be diverted via Scotts Lane and Hayes Lane. Northbound traffic – exiting Shortlands Road into Bromley Road or Beckenham Lane will be unaffected during the works.
These works have been programmed to go ahead during the school summer holidays. They will not fall within the area of carriageway which has recently been resurfaced at Shortlands Road / Bromley Road.
