18 Oct Latest Ward Crimes 1-15 October 2026
Dear Residents,
Please find below the crime record for the period from 1st Oct to 15th Oct ‘26.
Generally speaking, not too bad with plenty of days with nothing to report.
Worrying to see that there was another card theft at Esso Tesco Express Westmoreland Road. If you’re using an ATM & someone approaches you offering to help, try and press cancel and get the card back in your possession. Regardless of whether the thief manages to get your card, please call 999 as it is an attempted theft even if you manage to keep hold of it. If they manage to take your card it may appear it has been swallowed by the machine but, if you are unable to retrieve it, the chances are the suspect has distracted you and taken your card. If this happens as soon as you’ve finished your 999 call, phone your bank to cancel your card. If you’d like any crime prevention advice, please feel free to call me on mobile number 07769 435340.
