About The SRA

The SRA was founded in 1934 – so we have been representing and supporting Shortlands residents for 85 years. We aim to preserve the character and features of the area that make it such a pleasant place to live in.

About Shortlands

Historically, Shortlands was known as Clay or Cley Hill. There was a house of that name which, in the early 19^th century was renamed Shortlands House – and is now Bishop Challoner school.
