Boundary changes confirmed

Following a review by the Local Government Boundary Commission, the present shape of Shortlands ward will change to take in Shortlands “village” and parts of Park Langley, subject to ratification by Parliament.  The new ward is to be known as “Shortlands and Park Langley Ward”, and will be represented by three councillors (the current Shortlands ward has two), with the village falling in Bromley Town ward.

These changes are very much in line with the views the SRA  set out during the consultation.  They mean that Shortlands village and golf club are actually in Shortlands ward, and make some other useful changes to bring roads that identify as part of Shortlands in the electoral framework.

The Boundary changes now go forward for parliamentary approval and this link will take you to all the details (in this link scroll down for final recommendations).
