19 Aug Local Crime Update 14/08/2024
Please find below the crime record for the period from 1st August to 14th August 2024.
Very pleasing to see that we haven’t had a theft of motor vehicle for two weeks and that the last theft from motor vehicle was just over a week ago. Hopefully the incident on Queens Mead Rec on Friday 09/08/24 was a one-off and we won’t see more of these offences.
Looking back over the figures for the period between last night’s panel meeting and the one before it in June, I noticed that the amount of valuable items being stolen overnight from cars had increased. Remember don’t leave valuables in your car overnight. If you could pass this advice on to neighbours, friends and family please that would be great.
On the community engagement side we’ll be holding a drop-in surgery at Shortlands Library from 4pm to 5pm on Friday 23/08/24. Our next Cuppa With A Cooper session will be from 4pm to 5pm on Thursday 29/08/24. Hope to see some of you there.
