Local Crime Update 30/04/2021

Dear Residents

Please find below the crime record for the period from 16th April to 30th April.

Very pleasing to see so little crime over the last fortnight on Shortlands and even better that the Range Rover stolen in Tootswood Road was recovered.  Unfortunately, similar offences have been occurring on neighbouring Wards.  By checking the reports for Kelsey & Eden Park and Copers Cope Wards, as well our own, I can monitor for links between offences.

Recent police activity has included officers from the team assisting on a traffic operation in Penge resulting in two arrests of wanted persons for non-traffic related matters (theft & immigration).

Enquiries and reassurance visits have been carried out for both crimes mentioned on the crime record.

Over the last month or so thefts of Range Rovers have been targeted by thieves.  I’ve visited Range Rover owners and given security advice.

On a happier note, on Tuesday, I start volunteering for the Junior Volunteer Cadets at a primary school in Penge.  I’m very much looking forward to engaging with the young people and helping to build relations between children and police.

Thanks very much for your help and support as always.  Hope you all have a nice bank holiday weekend.

Kind Regards

Adam
