08 Jul Potential Shortlands Village Conservation area
At its meeting on 14 July Bromley’s Development Control Committee will discuss whether to undertake a public consultation exercise regarding the potential designation of the Shortlands Village Conservation Area. Designating the village as a conservation area means that planning applications would be required to either preserve or enhance the conservation area thereby ensuring a higher standard of design and greater sensitivity to the historic character of the area.
Local councillors (the area falls in the Bromley Town ward) are supportive of the recommendation to have a public consultation as it will allow more residents to share their views.
See the Bromley council website for the meeting agenda.
