Scam warning from Bromley NWA

We have heard from the Met Police Cyber Crime Unit that there has been a 400% increase in Coronavirus related scams this month with victim losses at nearly £1 million.
For the full story, visit the Action Fraud website and click on the Coronavirus scam alerts.
Meanwhile, be aware there are reports of fraudsters going door-to-door claiming to be NHS staff conducting Coronavirus tests or making welfare visits.  Please note NHS staff are NOT going door-to-door.  Call the Police if someone knocks on your door claiming to be conducting Coronavirus testing.  Do not let them into your home.
Members of the public are being texted and told to enter their postcode and then share their card details in order to receive a supposed COVID-19 “relieve” payment from the government.  This is a scam, of course, and you should not click or interact with the text.  Just delete it.
