The temporary closure of Shortlands Library due to structural problems has been extended to at least late July 2026.
As an interim measure, the Library have continued to hire St Mary’s Choir Vestry all day on Mondays to enable it to continue some of its activities. ‘Stay and Play’ for children of all ages runs from 9.45-10.45 am (including a drop-in Baby Bounce and Rhyme session) followed by a Coffee Morning open to all from 11.30-12.30pm. In the afternoon there are Tea and Topics sessions from 2.15-3.30pm.
During the closure Library members can use the services of all the other Bromley libraries in the borough, and requested items can be brought to the Choir Vestry by staff on Monday mornings.
